People of the Interwebs!  I have something real special for you… a Malibu beach proposal!  I’ve teased this a bit on social media, but I’m excited to share more from this beautiful day.

Chase had been planning this proposal for a while.  He relayed his elaborate game plan (that I can now reveal!) where he’d tell his beautiful girlfriend, Michaela that they were traveling from Dallas to Los Angeles for a television audition, staying the weekend in Santa Monica, take a casual visit to the beach and propose!  Then when they flew back to Texas the next day, Chase arranged for her family fly in from Nebraska to surprise her at dinner.

Let’s just take a minute and re-read those last couple of sentences.  TWO surprises.  Proposal. King.

Location, location!  Initially, we talked about Santa Monica beach because Chase mentioned Michaela loves the beach and it was close to where they were staying.  But I knew that beach was going to be pretty crowded, so we decided on somewhere else super special.  Enter… El Matador Beach.  If you haven’t been to this beach and you live in California, make it a point to visit.  Seriously – I grew up in California near the beach, and I’ve never seen anything like El Matador.

They flew into LA day-of, so we had to prep as much as possible. That means a phone call, scheming text messages and Dustin and I visited the actual beach and filmed this video so Chase could see the path!

Well, long story short – the proposal was flawless!  Keep scrolling to see how the day unfolded…

Thank goodness for all these amazing rock formations – made for the perfect hiding spot!  The goal was to stay hidden until she said “YES!”  They stopped for a few photos on this gorgeous beach!
