If you follow me on Instagram, you know I’m borderline obsessed with Vanessa and Nick!  I first met them a couple months ago for their wedding consultation and I remember instantly falling in love with them (sorry Dustin!).  You know those couples who can light up the room with just their smiles individually, but are even more electric as a team – yep, that’s these two!  Both of them were so excited (LOVE THAT!) to be engaged and planning their big day together, and it was infectious!

Due to the torrential downpours that have been hitting SoCal lately, we ended up rescheduling their session once.  It worked out perfectly though, because we ended up shooting on a weekday – Valentine’s Day to be exact.  How romantic!!  We started off on the El Moro Canyon Trails of Crystal Cove State Park and then made our way down to the ocean.

When they walked up for their engagement session, the sun was behind them and blinding your girl so I wasn’t sure if it was them.  Then they got a little closer and it was like BAM!  They looked so sparkly and fabulous!!  It was just like a movie.

I’d been so excited to finally get them in front of my camera.  Like most couples (including me and Dustin), they started off telling me how awkward they are in front of the camera, but that was a big, fat lie!  Just look at them!!  They KILLED it, and you know why?  Because they followed cardinal rule #1 – just love on each other!

Vanessa + Nick, thank you for adventuring with me and jumping in that freezing cold water in your gorgeous formal wear. I love you both tons and tons, and I can’t WAIT for your wedding this fall!

    

 

The sun was setting so quickly that we decided to watch the sunset from this beautiful viewpoint.  Best seat in the house!
