It was raining in Los Angeles and we all know what that means… bad drivers.  So we grabbed my camera and picked up my brother and his girlfriend and skedaddled!

I’ve been wanting to shoot at the almond groves since last year.  I even put it on my photography location bucket list.  They bloom end of February / early March, and don’t stick around very long, so we were fortunate to catch them this year.  With the rain in LA, we knew there’d be a chance we’d encounter rain in Bakersfield.  Good thing I have my trusty emergency umbrellas just in case!  Luckily, the rain didn’t make it to Bakersfield – thank you, weather gods!  The groves are a dreamland, and I couldn’t get enough of it.  It was so worth the two and a half hour drive!  If you live in Southern California, I definitely recommend adding this to your bucket list.
