Dustin and I had a double date with Christine and Mike before they hired me, and let me tell you, these two lawyers are the definition of chill. For two people who work their butts off, they sure know how to have a good time, as witnessed at their epic engagement session! They selected a few locations they loved for their engagement shoot, but ultimately left the decision up to me (#AWESOME). So I said, let’s meet at this place and we’ll play it by ear, based on timing and lighting, and it was perfection. I’ve never had anyone leave it open-ended like that before, and I kinda loved it. We ended up squeezing in a few different locations and even had time to take a chip and wine break (yum!)! I love these two, and I can’t wait for their wedding (they have a huge family so you know it’s going to be a PARTY!), which is officially ONE month away tomorrow!
Tennis is a huge part of their relationship, so Mike brought his whole proposal set up! From Christine, “He proposed 2 (yes TWO) days after taking the CA Bar (a 3 day, 18 hour exam – 12 of those hours typing like a madman), July 30, 2016. Despite my whining that it would be too hot to play tennis in July in Brea, he dragged me out to a beautiful national park (carbon canyon park in OC). We had actually gone there for valentine’s day (little did i know that he was scoping the place out!!). He had a picnic which was over prepared but he told me that it was leftovers his mom had given him for the bar, LOL. Then when we were walking to the courts to play tennis, he managed to get me to open a can of tennis balls and lo and behold, there was a ring box inside. I cried like a total loser.”
