It was 86 degrees with a wonderful breeze, and I pull up to a charming ranch-style home with blue trim – the location for Saturday’s backyard elopement-style wedding. The beautiful bride, Rebecca, excitedly greets me outside. She’s wearing my typical uniform, yoga pants and a tank top, and she is so cool and relaxed. She shows me around, grabs some details for me to shoot, and enjoys some sweet mommy and me time with her spunky little girl. Meanwhile, Scott is in the other room because the first time they see each other will be at the aisle. Funny story – Scott sported the wrong coat in the earlier part of the day, and convinced himself that he’d gained weight and continued to rock it for a few photos until he realized he was wearing his friends coat. 😂
Thirty of their favorite people arrived and made their way into the backyard, which is made for this day! Chiavari chairs line the aisle to a birch arch draped with gray and dusty blue tulle. Behind us were four tables lined with eucalptyus runners provided by the amazing Stems Floral Design, where guests and the newlyweds would soon enjoy a gourmet burger and french fry bar. It was a beautiful evening and everything they had hoped for!
Rebecca even took the time to email me and thank me for sharing in their special day! Are you kidding?! Thank YOU for sharing your special day with me. Congratulations and enjoy your tropical honeymoon, you two!!
I’ll let you scroll, and in the meantime, I’ll be planning my vow renewal in our backyard because this was so inspiring!!
How gorgeous is this detailing on her dress?!? Love me some sequins!!
Brotherly love!
Gang’s all here!
We went to a couple locations for their bride and groom portraits. It allowed us some time away from guests, but also variety for their photographs. Our first stop was Scott’s childhood home, and then we stopped at a small park nearby (one that may look familiar to some of my holiday photo families!).
Back to the party!!
