Welcome to Allyson and Ian’s wedding day! They were married on Saturday, September 15, 2018 at Point Vicente Interpretative Center on a beautiful, cloudless day! I know I obsess over all of my couples, and these two are no exception.When I first met Allyson and Ian over video chat, Allyson stressed to me how important it was that their vendors really understood just how much this day meant to them. They were careful to choose a team that would play an integral role in the most important day of their lives. I love when couples put that much thought and research into their day. So when I say it was an honor to work with them, it was seriously an honor.Let’s rewind back to when Dr. and Mrs. Lehrer first met! Allyson walked into a bar… (I Googled some “… walked into a bar” jokes, but decided I wasn’t clever enough to insert one here) four years ago and literally saw Ian from across the room. She remember exactly what he was wearing and how easily they hit it off. She says she “absolutely knew I would marry him the night I met him, and he says he knew he would be with me too, too!” They would go on to live in three states together, currently residing in NYC. They are a true power couple – stronger and better together.What I love most about them is how effortlessly they turn the rest of the world off when they’re together. It’s like a scene out of a movie. As a photographer, I always hope that I can create an environment where my couple feels comfortable enough to pretty much ignore their surroundings and focus on each other. From the first shot to the last, they did just that!
