Jean + RJ // Crafted at the Port of LA Wedding

Jul 1, 2018

Think about the most chill couple you know.  You know the couple that lights up a room like sunshine and is so easygoing.  Then multiply that by 100.  That couple is Jean and RJ – two of the most wonderful, joyous people you will ever meet!  Jean is BFFs with my friend and neighbor, Alli, and they’re both friends with Kianna – my June bride!  Kianna and Jean both booked me for their weddings within the same week, and I couldn’t have felt like a luckier girl to have two more amazing brides to work with!

Jean and RJ met three years ago at work, and got engaged in 2017 at a dinner with their families, and were married on Saturday, May 19, 2018.  They exchanged vows at St. John Fisher Church, a gorgeous catholic church in Palos Verdes, and continued the party at Crafted at the Port of Los Angeles in San Pedro.  I hadn’t heard of Crafted until recently.  If you haven’t heard about it, you have to check it out!  It’s a permanent weekend market where you can buy locally-made apparel, home decor, food and craft beer.

When you think of a wedding, you think – love, laugh, tears – this was all of that and then some.  All 200 guests came together for these two, and I’ve never seen two families as close as theirs.  I don’t usually cry at weddings because I’m so overwhelmed by the joy and fun, but I was a freakin’ ugly crying machine during Jean’s dance with her brother, a special tribute to her father who passed away last year.  They paid tribute to him throughout the day, and he was absolutely there in spirit from start to finish.  It was the most special celebration of love, and I am so lucky to have been a part of it!

Jean and RJ, thank you guys for the opportunity to work with you, but most of all, the opportunity to get to know you! Wishing you a lifetime of love and happiness!!
